I stop and remind myself: this is a great moment to be loving to myself!

Ahhhh…

I automatically re-route,

(I have been here before, I know the flavour of that self- talk, I know it only leads to more ouch).

Sooo…in comes the positive, loving self affirmations and my own tailor made self love process; here is a window into how that may look:

I call myself my pet name, it is the name that my Hungarian baby sitter used to call me, and one of my dearest sisters picked up. It is an affectionate name which speaks directly to my inner child.

I use that name and begin to acknowledge that yes this is a difficult moment.

I acknowledge my current feelings; hurt/overwhelm/despair/self doubt/fear..

Yes darling I see that this is a difficult moment for you

Already I am beginning to feel seen & validated in my experience.

Yes this is painful but you know how to do this

Perhaps another toxic self-negating voice arises

No honey do not do that

Deep breath and a hand on my heart, and more deep breaths

it’s ok, you are going to be ok

And the tide is shifting, the presence in my body is coming back online, there is the love right there.

These days opportunities for self love are plentiful!

Through keeping our hearts open to ourselves ,and self supporting ourselves through challenging moments; we are re-writing conditioned narratives and, we are turning the tide both personally and collectively through the process.

In 2012 I was having a glitchy moment whilst walking through the jungle in Hawaii, I looked down and a leaf spoke to me (see the image for the self love inspiration coming from the trees)
